Implementasi Pendidikan Karakter Melalui Program Tahlil for Kid di MI Tarbiyatul Wathan Kraksaan Probolinggo

Abstract: This study aims to examine the implementation of the Tahlil for Kids program as a medium for character education at MI Tarbiyatul Wathan Kraksaan Probolinggo. This program is designed to instill core values such as responsibility, discipline, empathy, and respect through the practice of tahlil, adapted to suit young students' understanding. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and documentation. Findings indicate that the Tahlil for Kids program effectively helps students understand and internalize character values through a religious approach that resonates with their local context. However, challenges arise in maintaining students' attention, gaining parental support, managing limited time within the school curriculum, and addressing the diverse religious backgrounds of students. The role of teachers as facilitators and the involvement of parents are crucial factors in the program’s success. These findings can serve as a reference for other schools seeking to integrate character education through religious-based activities relevant to the cultural context of their students.
