Improved Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy systems stability criterion of sampled-data with packet loss and uncertainty

In this paper, the exponential stability problem of sampled-data Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy control systems with packet loss and uncertainty is investigated. An input delay approach is adopted to model the sample-and-hold behavior. In addition, a switching system method is proposed that combines the sampled-data T–S fuzzy control system with lost packets. Some new piecewise time-varying Lyapunov functionals are proposed by considering state information. Some free-weight matrices are used to obtain sufficient conditions for the exponential stability of sampled-data T–S fuzzy systems. The sufficient conditions are expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Furthermore, the sampled-data controller is designed according to the stability criteria. All final solutions are expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, two illustrative examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
