Laundry Control System Using Textronics and Cloud Computing
The paper presents a model and implementation of a distributed laundry management system utilizing textiles and cloud computing, enabling intelligent control of the washing process through the use of RFID identifiers in textiles and connecting devices to the Azure IoT Hub service. Textiles equipped with RFID identifiers are automatically recognized, allowing for optimal adjustment of washing parameters based on the type of material. The communication module, based on the Raspberry Pi microcomputer, works in conjunction with the STM32 microcontroller, transmitting data to the cloud, where it is analyzed to provide recommendations regarding detergents, washing times, and other settings. A prototype of the control system was developed in the form of a sequential algorithm using CPDev software. Based on the laboratory model, measurements were conducted to assess the accuracy of textile identification, which helped determine the optimal number of scans.
