Biochemical and molecular mechanisms of Rhodococcus rhodochrous IITR131 for polyethylene terephthalate degradation
Rhodococcus rhodochrous IITR131 demonstrated a significant potential in the biodegradation of PET. The comprehensive genomic and metabolic analyses further elucidated the molecular pathway involved in PET degradation, enhancing our understanding of the mechanisms underlying microbial PET biodegradation. These findings underscore the applicability of R. rhodochrous IITR131 in biotechnological approaches for mitigating plastic pollution.
