Reliability Analysis of Weighted‐k‐Out‐of‐n(G)‐Subsystem With Performance Sharing Considering Component Interdependence
ABSTRACT Failure mechanism and performance transmission patterns of systems become more complex due to the coupling relationship between components and the system structure. In order to improve the system reliability, a novel performance‐sharing model is proposed in this paper, which consists of weighted‐ k ‐out‐of‐ n (G)‐subsystems in serial. The components within the same subsystem are dependent. Based on this model, the relevant definitions of performance surplus and deficiency are given, and the system reliability is developed. A new system reliability evaluation algorithm is proposed based on the Copula function and Lz‐transform method. Furthermore, the different influence of performance transmission capacity on system reliability is analyzed. Finally, an application example of a power generation system is given to illustrate the behavior of the proposed algorithm, and the dynamic reliabilities of the system under the dependence and independence of the components are compared and analyzed, so as to show the effectiveness of the method.
