Interval matrix equation AXB = C

In this paper, we consider interval matrix equation [Formula: see text], where [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], and [Formula: see text] are interval matrices of dimensions [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], respectively. Also, the unknown matrix [Formula: see text] is of dimension [Formula: see text]. At first, a solution set for this interval matrix equation is defined and some conditions bounding the solution set will be studied. Afterwards, a number of methods for solving the aforementioned interval matrix equation are present. Finally, it is proved that whenever [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] are inverse positive, the hull of the solution set can be described explicitly.

Abstract

Also, the unknown matrix [Formula: see text] is of dimension [Formula: see text]. At first, a solution set for this interval matrix equation is defined and some conditions bounding the solution set will be studied. Afterwards, a number of methods for solving the aforementioned interval matrix equation are present. Finally, it is proved that whenever [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] are inverse positive, the hull of the solution set can be described explicitly.
