Specific functions and therapeutic applications of microRNAs in aging and age-related diseases
Aging is a complex process causing organ dysfunction and chronic diseases. This review explores the roles of microRNAs (miRNAs) in aging and related diseases.miRNAs regulate biological processes and are emerging as biomarkers for diagnosis and therapy.Age-related changes in miRNA expression, such as miR-34a and miR-29b, influence tissue damage and inflammation. These miRNAs are critical in aging-related disease mechanisms, offering insights for prediction and treatment. This review highlights miRNAs' significance in understanding aging and suggests their potential for innovative therapies and diagnostics.
