Macrocycle- and metal-centered reduction of cobalt trithiadodecaazahexaphyrin (Hhp). Metal-to-ligand charge transfer in {(CoI2Co II O)(Hhp˙ 4− )} 2−
Crystals of {Cryptand(K + )} 2 {(CoI2Co II O) 2+ (Hhp˙ 4− )} 2− ·2C 6 H 4 Cl 2 (1) were obtained from H 3 Hhp and Co II (acac) 2 under reduction. Salt 1 demonstrates a metal-to-macrocycle charge transfer and low-energy d–π optical transition.
