A case of dystocia due to conjoined twin monster in a crossbred jersey dairy cow
Abstract A pluriparous crossbred jersey cattle in its third parity was brought to the hospital with a history of prolonged straining having advanced pregnancy and present in last trimester. Physical and per vaginal was done and tentatively confirmed as fetal cause of dystocia. Manual traction was performed but was futile and caesarean section was performed by a left lower abdominal incision under local anaesthesia using 2% lignocaine. A dead conjoined twin monster with diprosopus, dibrachius, dicaudatus and tetrapus fetus was delivered. The dam was recovered successfully with good prognosis.
