INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN THE CUSTOMS SPHERE: CHALLENGES AND PROSPECTS OF DIGITALIZATION

The article is devoted to topical issues of the digital transformation of the customs service of Ukraine in the context of its integration into the European economic space. The purpose of the research is the analysis of the current legal framework, which regulates the procedure for implementing digital solutions in customs processes, as well as the study of the main challenges and opportunities associated with the use of information systems and technologies to optimize customs clearance and control procedures. The main trends in the implementation of information technologies in customs procedures are considered, in particular, the transition from electronic to smart customs, which involves the use of intelligent risk systems, automation of control of supply chains, as well as the introduction of high-tech monitoring tools. Particular attention is paid to the "single window" mechanism, which ensures the integration of all regulatory bodies into a single information platform. The challenges faced by the Ukrainian customs system on the way to digitalization are analyzed, such as the lack of a single system of electronic exchange, the need to improve infrastructure and legislation. The results of the study emphasize the importance of digital solutions for increasing the efficiency, transparency and competitiveness of customs procedures, which will contribute to the economic growth of Ukraine and its integration into the world economy. The results of the study confirm that the transition from electronic customs to smart customs creates an innovative environment for managing customs risks, optimizing processes and improving the security of customs operations. This change led to significant achievements, including the development of a single information exchange platform, the implementation of an intelligent risk management system and the improvement of electronic services In general, these innovations highlight the strategic importance of modernizing customs authorities to meet the changing needs of global trade, while ensuring reliable security and compliance with modern business requirements
