Pengembangan Prototipe Alat Pengusir Tikus Berbasis Internet of Things dengan Integrasi Notifikasi API WhatsApp

The prototype device developed in this study is an advanced solution to the persistent problem of rat infestations in agricultural areas, particularly in rice fields, which are a key concern in Indonesia. The integration of IoT technology allows for real-time monitoring, making it possible to detect rat activity instantly and respond immediately without requiring constant manual intervention. The system’s ability to send notifications via WhatsApp means that users can be alerted to rodent activity even when they are not physically present at the location, increasing the efficiency of pest control measures. The combination of motion detection, ultrasonic deterrence, and live video streaming creates a multi-layered approach to pest management. The ESP32-CAM, paired with the PIR sensor, ensures that the device can continuously monitor the area, while the ultrasonic sound disrupts and repels rats. The ability to remotely control the camera and adjust its angle via the servo motor allows users to tailor their surveillance according to specific needs, further enhancing the flexibility and utility of the device. This smart solution has the potential to be implemented in various agricultural settings, contributing to more sustainable farming practices and minimizing the need for harmful chemical pesticides.
