Exploring the versatility of novel furan-based α,ω-diene carbonate monomers: synthesis, (co-)polymerization, and comparative study

A family of α,ω-diene carbonate furanic monomers was synthesized and polymerized via ADMET producing bio-based polycarbonates. Co-polymerization studies were then conducted on diene furanic monomers incorporating ester, ether, and carbonate groups.

Abstract

A family of α,ω-diene carbonate furanic monomers was synthesized and polymerized via ADMET producing bio-based polycarbonates. Co-polymerization studies were then conducted on diene furanic monomers incorporating ester, ether, and carbonate groups.
