The Influence of Social Media on Voter Behavior, Public Opinion, and Partisan Tendencies during Election Campaigns in Indonesia: Systematic Literature Review

In the current digital era, social media has become a crucial tool in obtaining information. Social media is also used by presidential and vice-presidential candidates to build a positive image, spread vision and mission, political messages, and interact with the public. Social media provides opportunities for voters to be actively involved in various political discussions and debates. Through social media, voters can share views, express support or differences of opinion, and obtain information regarding candidates who will take part in the election. These things create a scheme that increasingly influences a voter's political views. The purpose of this research is to examine how social media can influence the election process and how it affects public opinion, the tendency of people to support certain candidates. In this research, the authors want to conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by analyzing information based on many previous studies related to this topic. In general, we concluded that social media does have a significant influence in shaping voter behavior, public opinion and tendencies during the election period.
