Role of Teachers in Integrating AI-based Chatbots in School Education

The study investigates the use of AI-based chatbots in school education in India. It attempts to understand the role of the teachers as enablers of such technology. Also, the research attempts to explain the process behind the AI-based chatbots simply, which is necessary for teachers to understand, as they must use such technology effectively in the classroom. We have also done a thorough bibliometric analysis to gauge past research work done in this field. This study used primary and secondary sources to draw references concerning using AI-based chatbots in rural areas of India. In this study, the perceived value of AI-based chatbots for instructors was ascertained using thematic analysis based on semi-structured interviews of expert teachers on specific ensuing themes to understand the teacher’s perspective, which is essential for further emancipation of the technology amongst the students.
