GLCM-Enhanced Dynamic Texture Analysis for Ocean Waves Behavior
The paper advances an analysis of ocean waves showcasing a combination between 3D approaches of dynamic textures and time variations of co-occurrence matrix features, viewed as a new dimension. The main features deployed in the present work are: contrast, homogeneity, correlation, directivity and entropy calculated for following directions, i.e. front to back, left to right, top to bottom and 3D spatial translations. The method provides a genuinely effective tool for spatio-temporal analysis of dynamic textures. The approach based on dynamic textures are applied on ocean waves from the DynTex database.
