Broadband Substrate Optimization with Adjoint Method and Green’s Functions

We present a computationally efficient optimization technique that combines the two-dimensional layered medium Green’s functions with the adjoint method to optimize a multilayered dielectric substrate, achieving maximum field transmission across the visible spectrum.
