Performance Comparison of QAM Modulation Formats on an All-4-Core Recirculating Loop

We assess the performance of different modulation formats on the first all-4-core component recirculating loop, integrating 4-core EDFAs and distributed Raman amplification. Total decoded throughputs of 45.7Tb/s after 12053.6km, 90.8Tb/s after 3161.6km, and 137Tb/s after 395.2km are reported for 4-, 16-, and 64-QAM signals, respectively.
