Narrow Linewidth Hybrid Plasmonic-Photonic Mid Wave Infrared Spectral Filter

We propose and numerically demonstrate a novel type of hybrid plasmonic-photonic metasurface-based transmissive filter that achieves a peak transmittance over 50% and high resolution (FWHM <120 nm) in the mid-wave infrared (MWIR) spectral range. The geometric tunability of proposed structure enables designing multi-spectral filter array.

Abstract

We propose and numerically demonstrate a novel type of hybrid plasmonic-photonic metasurface-based transmissive filter that achieves a peak transmittance over 50% and high resolution (FWHM <120 nm) in the mid-wave infrared (MWIR) spectral range. The geometric tunability of proposed structure enables designing multi-spectral filter array.
