On the Gaussian Assumption for the Capacity of MDG-Impaired Systems

We verify by simulation the Gaussian assumption for the MDG-impaired SDM capacity. The Gaussianity of the empirical distribution is validated using Q-Q plots. While the plots suggest non-Gaussian behavior for a low number of modes D, the empirical distribution for D = 28 closely resembles a Gaussian distribution.

Abstract

We verify by simulation the Gaussian assumption for the MDG-impaired SDM capacity. The Gaussianity of the empirical distribution is validated using Q-Q plots. While the plots suggest non-Gaussian behavior for a low number of modes D, the empirical distribution for D = 28 closely resembles a Gaussian distribution.
