Mid-Infrared Time-Stretch Optical Coherence Tomography with MHz Axial Scan Rate

We develop mid-infrared time-stretch optical coherence tomography running at a record-high A-scan rate of 1 MHz with an axial resolution of 11.6 μm and a sensitivity of 55 dB. Using the developed system, we imaged the surface of aluminum plates coated with highly scattering paints.

Abstract

We develop mid-infrared time-stretch optical coherence tomography running at a record-high A-scan rate of 1 MHz with an axial resolution of 11.6 μm and a sensitivity of 55 dB. Using the developed system, we imaged the surface of aluminum plates coated with highly scattering paints.
