Mode-Multiplexed PAM-4 Fiber Optic Interconnects using Integrated Silicon Photonic Processors
We demonstrated a mode-division multiplexing communication system using a two-mode few-mode fiber and silicon photonic processor. A mode crosstalk <-20dB can be obtained using optical signal processing when activating two concurrent modes, allowing each mode carrying 112Gbps PAM-4 signals for future high-capacity optical interconnects.
