Perturbing random photonic network resonances

We present simulations of random photonic networks composed of randomly positioned nodes connected by optical waveguides. We calculate the network scattering matrices, internal field distributions and the trajectories of scattering matrix poles in response to perturbations, both directly and using perturbation theory.

Abstract

We present simulations of random photonic networks composed of randomly positioned nodes connected by optical waveguides. We calculate the network scattering matrices, internal field distributions and the trajectories of scattering matrix poles in response to perturbations, both directly and using perturbation theory.
