All-Optical Noise Suppression in Integrated Frequency Combs via Kerr-Induced Synchronization
We theoretically and experimentally demonstrate quenching of intra-cavity noise, in particular thermo-refractive noise (TRN), of an integrated frequency comb through Kerr-induced synchronization. This quenching yields a repetition rate noise below TRN limits for singly-pumped combs and narrow individual comb lines with free-running laser pumps.
