Highly Scalable Photonic-assisted Accumulator for Hundreds of Complex Numbers

We propose and demonstrate a photonic-assisted summation paradigm for complex numbers. This approach relies on efficient temporal coherent interference techniques enabled by group velocity dispersion, allowing for the high-speed summation of 200 complex numbers with a computing speed of 92 GOPS per wavelength.

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a photonic-assisted summation paradigm for complex numbers. This approach relies on efficient temporal coherent interference techniques enabled by group velocity dispersion, allowing for the high-speed summation of 200 complex numbers with a computing speed of 92 GOPS per wavelength.
