Mid-infrared photothermal wide-field nanoscopy

We present wide-field mid-infrared photothermal (MIP) microscopy with a spatial resolution of ~120 nm in terms of the Nyquist-Shannon sampling theorem, achieved by a single-objective synthetic-aperture MIP quantitative phase imaging technique with a high-NA immersion objective lens and sub-nanosecond MIR and VIS pulses.
