CW Stimulated Emission in a Self-Assembled NaYF4:Yb3+, Tm3+ Upconverting Microresonator
A novel design and synthesis method for NaYF<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">4</inf>:Yb3+, Tm3+ upconverting nanoparticle microlasers is demonstrated by using a temperature-controlled self-assembly oil-in-water emulsion technique. The supraparticle acts as both the gain medium and the optical cavity, and has great potential for diverse biomedical applications
