Comparative analysis of different TCOs as potential Alternate Plasmonic Materials for tunable MidIR Applications

This work highlights the effectiveness of engineered Transparent Conducting Oxides in facilitating a strong mid-infrared (mid-IR) plasmonic resonance. This enhancement is directly observable through a substantial and broad 23% and 21% reduction in mid-IR transmission for two different TCOs respectively, representing highest documented resonance levels.

Abstract

This work highlights the effectiveness of engineered Transparent Conducting Oxides in facilitating a strong mid-infrared (mid-IR) plasmonic resonance. This enhancement is directly observable through a substantial and broad 23% and 21% reduction in mid-IR transmission for two different TCOs respectively, representing highest documented resonance levels.
