Switchable Microwave Photonic Filter Based on N-adjustable Microring Resonator

We present a switchable microwave photonic filter based on an under-coupled N-adjustable microring, offering advantages of compact size and minimized coupling loss. Experimental results demonstrate tunable bandstop and bandpass responses with a switching operation only requiring a less than 1.5V voltage difference.

Abstract

We present a switchable microwave photonic filter based on an under-coupled N-adjustable microring, offering advantages of compact size and minimized coupling loss. Experimental results demonstrate tunable bandstop and bandpass responses with a switching operation only requiring a less than 1.5V voltage difference.
