Optimization of switching capability in multi-wavelength lasers induced by optical feedback

Multi-wavelength lasers are promising devices for THz communication or all-optical processing among others. But they are notoriously complex and difficult to handle. In this work, we numerically and experimentally investigate how to optimize optical feedback-based control, focusing on wavelength switching amplitude and speed.

Abstract

Multi-wavelength lasers are promising devices for THz communication or all-optical processing among others. But they are notoriously complex and difficult to handle. In this work, we numerically and experimentally investigate how to optimize optical feedback-based control, focusing on wavelength switching amplitude and speed.
