Gapless FWM-based Photonic Spectrogram Using Overlapping Time-Lens Arrays

We present a novel real-time time-frequency analysis method suitable for optical signals utilizing overlapping arrays of time-lenses based on FWM. Compared to previous approaches, this design achieves gapless operation, a feature demonstrated by successfully capturing short events regardless of their time of arrival.

Abstract

We present a novel real-time time-frequency analysis method suitable for optical signals utilizing overlapping arrays of time-lenses based on FWM. Compared to previous approaches, this design achieves gapless operation, a feature demonstrated by successfully capturing short events regardless of their time of arrival.
