Electrical Characterization of Traveling-Wave Thin-Film Lithium Niobate Modulator at Frequencies up to 220 GHz
We investigated the frequency response of a thin-film lithium niobate modulator at frequencies up to 220 GHz. The electrical 6-dB bandwidth of a 5-mm-long device exceeded 220 GHz. This indicated that a 220-GHz electro-optic bandwidth modulator could be realized using the thin-film lithium niobate technology.
