Continuous-variable cluster states in optical microresonator

We experimentally demonstrate reconfigurable and scalable continuous-variable cluster states by combining the Kerr microcombs with programmable bichromatic pumps within a single microresonator. The generated two-dimensional cluster states consist of 28 entangled modes in the frequency domain as required for universal quantum information processing.

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate reconfigurable and scalable continuous-variable cluster states by combining the Kerr microcombs with programmable bichromatic pumps within a single microresonator. The generated two-dimensional cluster states consist of 28 entangled modes in the frequency domain as required for universal quantum information processing.
