Evaluation of Optical-DAC based Transmitter for 1.6-Tbps Data-Centre Interconnection

We present a numerical evaluation study of a 2Serial-2Parallel optical digital-to-analog converter over a datacenter interconnection link. Our results reveal superior performance compared to standard transmitters and demonstrate the capability of our scheme to support 1.6 Tbps capacity over a single wavelength.

Abstract

We present a numerical evaluation study of a 2Serial-2Parallel optical digital-to-analog converter over a datacenter interconnection link. Our results reveal superior performance compared to standard transmitters and demonstrate the capability of our scheme to support 1.6 Tbps capacity over a single wavelength.
