Design of Sub-10nm Programmable Optoelectronic Spiking Neuron with Advanced Process Design Kit

This paper presents a programmable optoelectronic spiking neuron with neural heterogeneity designed with advanced process design kits. The result shows that sub-10nm FET technology allows the spiking neuron to operate at 10GSpike/s input computing speed with 17.76fJ/Spike energy efficiency.

Abstract

This paper presents a programmable optoelectronic spiking neuron with neural heterogeneity designed with advanced process design kits. The result shows that sub-10nm FET technology allows the spiking neuron to operate at 10GSpike/s input computing speed with 17.76fJ/Spike energy efficiency.
