Wireless Radiance: LoRaWAN-Enabled Home Automation System

Traditional home automation systems face limitations in long-distance control, relying heavily on mobile monitoring applications. The proposed system overcomes it by developing an IoT-based home automation system utilizing LoRaWAN technology. Integrating the REYAX RYLR896 module with ESP8266 and microcontroller, this system enables remote control of appliances with real-time feedback. LoRaWAN’s long-range, low-power communication ensures reliable connectivity, eliminating distance constraints. The system features LED indicators for connectivity monitoring and computes Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI) for optimal communication reliability. This innovative approach enhances performance, user convenience, and energy efficiency in smart homes. The proposed system provides a reliable, efficient, and user-friendly solution for modern home automation, demonstrating LoRaWAN’s potential for next-generation IoT applications.
