Data Protection in Cloud Computing Environment: New Dimension of Network Information Security
Against the backdrop of continuous development of computer technology, the service scope of the network system is constantly expanding, and the service capability is significantly improving to meet the growing material and spiritual needs of the people. However, the issue of network information security has become more prominent, especially in environments such as public security systems that require extremely high security requirements. This article delved into the key challenges and solutions for data protection in cloud computing environments, with a focus on analyzing the application effects of symmetric and asymmetric encryption technologies in improving network information security, especially their application in public security systems. Through systematic literature review and empirical analysis, theoretical support and practical guidance were provided for further strengthening and optimizing network security measures in the public security system. The experimental results showed that for a 20MB data file, RSA had an encryption time of about 6400 milliseconds and a decryption time of about $\mathbf{6 2 0 0}$ milliseconds, revealing that asymmetric encryption technology may affect performance when processing big data and requires a balance between security and performance.
