THE BIOGEOME CONCEPT AND ITS PLACE IN FUNDAMENTAL HYDROBIOLOGY
The concept of biogeome in its application to the issues of fundamental hydrobiology is considered. Hydrobiology is considered as a high-level scientific discipline: along with atmobiology, the science of life in atmobiont conditions, it studies all manifestations of life in the Earth's hydrosphere. General ideas about life and living things lead to the conclusion that the unit of living things in the biosphere of the Earth is the organism, the unit of life is the ecosystem, because there are inseparable links in this bioinert system between living and inert elements. Two important trends in the evolution of bioinert systems are dialectically connected in nature: divergence, which leads to an increase in diversity in the biosphere, and convergence, which determines the existence of ecosystems similar in their structural and functional organization. In the hierarchical functional fractal structure of the biosphere, this level of convergent similar ecosystems represents the level of biogeomes. One of the sections of hydrobiology is hydrosphere biogeomics - a scientific discipline, the subject of which is biogeomes of hydrosphere.
