ASSESSMENT OF THE RISKS OF NOT ACHIEVING GOOD ENVIRONMENTAL STATUS OF KUCHURGAN RIVER FOR FISHERIES
The current state of use and agricultural development of the Kuchurgan river basin is high. There are 19 settlements along the coastline. There are 5 reservoirs operating on the river, which regulate the local flow. In recent years, the Kuchurgan River has seen a steady development of recreational fishing and recreation in the coastal zone. The work assesses the risks of not achieving a good ecological status of the Kuchurgan River for fishing purposes. The analysis of long-term data of hydrochemical indicators showed that there is a risk of not achieving ecological goals due to the high content of ammonium nitrogen, phosphates, BOC5 in the water of the Kuchurgan River. Such water is not suitable for use in fisheries.
