Development of a temporal model for knowledge representation regarding business processes of the first level of process management maturity

The subject of the research is business processes at the first level of process management maturity. The aim is to develop a temporal approach to knowledge representation in order to create conditions for building a knowledge-oriented model of business processes at the managed maturity level. To achieve this goal, the following tasks are addressed: structuring the differences between mature and immature business processes considering temporal aspects; developing a model for knowledge representation regarding business processes at the first level of process management maturity. A comparison between mature and immature business processes was conducted. The results indicate that the use of knowledge in mature business processes to determine alternative sequences of actions allows such processes to be quickly adapted to changes in user requirements and external influences. A temporal model for knowledge representation regarding business processes based on weighted temporal rules has been proposed, which allows evaluating alternative process execution options based on comparing the weights of these rules. The model ensures quick adaptation of business processes by selecting the alternative with the highest weight, provided that current environmental constraints are met.
