Governança e Atores Não Estatais
This article discusses the concept of governance and its relations with the State and democracy, pointing out possible practical deficiencies due to its proximity to contemporary neoliberal discourse. Also noteworthy is the importance of non-state actors in the governance process – local or global –, which are more prominent in discussions and studies on the subject than the States themselves. However, this does not mean that the nation-state has ceased to be important or relevant to governance discussions or practices. However, doubts about this relationship are still present and demand research, debate and attention from the Academy.
