METHODS OF DEVELOPING CREATIVE THINKING IN PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN
The article provides an analysis and justification of the methods of development and diagnostics of creative thinking of primary school students, as one of the leading areas of improving the learning process in a comprehensive school, as well as the transformation of social reality. The listed methods of creative development of personality have long been known in science, but in the article they are adapted to the conditions of primary school. A specific feature of the process of development of creative thinking in the selected category of schoolchildren is that at primary school age the child experiences many different positive changes associated with the process of physical and psychological adaptation to school. For a child of primary school age, learning is the leading type of activity, since he, in addition to a certain experience and amount of knowledge, is introduced to the achievements of human culture, acquires social status. It is during this period of life, under favorable conditions, that a primary school student begins to fully experience satisfaction from the process of cognition, intensive intellectual development, he develops self-confidence, the ability to learn, establish friendly relations with peers, use the acquired experience of creative activity in solving practical problems, etc. Therefore, the teacher must ensure that students demonstrate more independence in the process of solving various problems, strive to find original, possibly alternative ways to solve the situations that have arisen. However, if the process of developing creative thinking in younger students turns into accelerated intellectual development of the child, this can lead to the suppression of creative inclinations in the child.
