Integrated study of the Euxinograd and Topola Formations, northeastern Bulgaria in the context of Sarmatian climatic and paleoenvironmental changes
With the present study, an attempt was made to trace climate and paleoenvironmental changes during the Sarmatian on the territory of northeastern Bulgaria. For this purpose, the Bessarbian–Khersonian sediments of the Euxinograd and Topola formations were studied in six sites: sections Topola, Zelenka, and Balchik, and boreholes C-153A (Gurkovo) and C-45 and C-47 (Loznitsa).
