Modelo integrado de gestión de riesgos para reducir sobrecostos y retrasos en proyectos de construcción pública en Perú

This study proposes an integrated risk management model to address cost overruns and delays in public construction projects in Peru. Data from 204 construction professionals were analyzed through surveys and statistical analysis. The results revealed that the effective implementation of risk management practices has a significant correlation (r=0.789, p<0.05) with the reduction of poor practices in time and costs. The proposed model integrates four key dimensions: construction, operational, financial and political risks. Construction risk management was found to have the highest impact (r=0.701), followed by operational (r=0.675), financial (r=0.612) and political (r=0.592) risks. The study proposes specific strategies for each dimension and recommends the incorporation of the model into public policies for contracting and execution of works.
