From the Editors

With this issue, Integratus completes its second year in publication. This past year has not been one of the “terrible twos.” Quite the contrary. The journal is in good health and good spirits, with a steady stream of submissions, submissions of all types: The journal has published both quantitative and qualitative research articles as well as theoretical essays. The latter come from a variety of perspectives, including the psychoanalytical. All of the articles have relevance to the practice of psychotherapy and counselling. All address their topics with attention to the Catholic psychotherapist and counselor, exploring what it means to be a mental health professional and a Catholic. This year saw the innovation of “special sections,” articles whose authors responded to calls from the journal. Earlier in the year, we published several articles dealing with the theory and practice of psychotherapy following the work of Anna Terruwe and Conrad Baars. In the current issue, there are two articles concerning the religious formation of seminarians and others called to serve the Church. Another innovation was the exchange or debate over some provisions of the code of ethics of the Catholic Psychotherapy Association. We hope to continue with genuine dialogue other perhaps controversial topics.
