LEVEL OF SATISFACTION OF CONSTITUENTS TO THE SERVICES OF BARANGAY TINONGDAN
During the Municipality of Itogon’s 124th Founding anniversary in November 2024, Barangay Tinongdan was one of the best-performing barangays in the municipality. It gained awards for being a child-friendly barangay, placing first in the 2024 search for cleanest and greenest barangay, second in the competition for best barangay community peace and order, third in the DILG Road Clearing program, and second in the competition for best barangay ordinance implementer. With the assistance of barangay councils, which are headed by Punong Barangay Edwin O. Atumpag and his staff and volunteers, these prizes show how well the barangay is doing. The study is being conducted to identify areas for development for the benefit of the community and the local government itself, even if the barangay has stated it is doing well. It is also crucial to know how satisfied the constituents are with the services provided. According to the research, the majority of the constituents are happy with the services provided by the barangay after the survey was completed. While the barangay is doing well, it is normal for it to have problems and shortcomings, especially with regard to the lack of efficiency and transparency in local governance, the development of infrastructure, the lack of secure database, the slow issuance of clearances, the lack of water supply, and the inadequacy of emergency services. Overall, these difficulties might not prevent the local government unit from having big dreams, carrying out its obligations to the community, and earning the Department of Interior and Local Government’s seal of competent local governance.
