The article considers the current problem of educating moral and volitional qualities in difficult adolescents through the implementation of a personality-oriented approach in physical education and sports activities. It is noted that difficult adolescents are a social category with deviant behavior, low self-esteem and problems of social adaptation. The emphasis is on the need to form in them such qualities as responsibility, endurance, discipline and self-control. Special attention is paid to the role of the coach, his professional training and methodological readiness to work with this category of adolescents. Key methodological requirements are outlined, including: taking into account the individual characteristics of adolescents, creating a favorable emotional environment, encouraging physical activity, correcting behavior through daily self-control and supporting a positive "I-concept". The multifaceted role of the coach as a mentor, educator and organizer is revealed. The methodology for creating subject-subject interaction between the coach and adolescents is detailed, including the formation of an asset in sports teams. The importance of gradually involving adolescents in social activities in order to cultivate moral and volitional qualities is noted. The article proposes approaches that contribute to the effective work of a coach with difficult adolescents, and identifies prospects for further research in this area.
