Research dynamics on climate change and urban heat island effect in cities: a bibliometric analysis
In recent decades, the consequences of climate change and the urban heat island phenomenon in cities have gotten greater, making them legitimate worldwide concerns. The city has the potential to be a catalyst and is the region most susceptible to the consequences of climate change and urban heat island impacts. That's why this study takes an in-depth look at climate change and urban heat island effects in cities by conducting a bibliometric analysis. This study extended all research from 2010 to 2025 using similarity visualization software (VOSviewer). A total of 1169 publications were analyzed, as documented in the Scopus database in September 2024, identifying the most important topics covered by the journal. The results demonstrate several important research concerns. The study offers prospective researchers a road map by emphasizing crucial areas where success is achievable.
