Transformer Economic Life Assessment Considering Time Value
This paper proposes an evaluation method for the economic life of transformers, which takes the maximum annual net income as the optimization objective. By comparing the annual net income under two scenarios, maintenance and replacement, a decision is made whether to apply maintenance or replacement. Through analyzing various economic factors and patterns within the transformer's life cycle, including power supply income, various actual costs, risk costs, etc., mathematical models for annual net income are established for both maintenance and replacement scenarios. Empirical research results show that the model is highly operable, and the prediction results are in line with reality, which is of practical significance for power grid enterprises to achieve lean management of power equipment operations and to reasonably extend the life of transformers.
