Configuration Optimization of Dispatchable Sources of Large Clean Energy Base
The northwest region of China possesses abundant renewable energy resources. Due to low regional electricity demand and the significant distance from load center, the area faces challenges if positioned as a power export system. These challenges, which include weak regional grid structure and limited number of supportive power sources, make it difficult to meet the energy supply requirements from the receiving end. A time-sequence simulation model of a large-scale clean energy base in a specific northwest region of China is established in this paper. The optimization of dispatchable sources configuration is carried out by considering various constraints such as the utilization rate of renewable energy, the penetration of renewable energy, and the power production confidence rate. The findings provide valuable insights for formulating strategies for the delivery and consumption of renewable energy from the northwest region.
