Process Mining and Visual Analytics
Process mining and visual analytics have developed independent from each other over a longer period of time, even though they focus on similar research questions and they work with event sequence data. The authors took part in a MiniDagstuhl Seminar held at the International Conference on Business Informatics 2024 in Vienna. This paper summarizes position statements of the authors on how process mining research and visual analytics complement each other.
